Financial Accountant

This role is fully operational and responsible for the smooth running of our accounting processes. We are looking for an experienced accountant with a team-oriented, accurate and efficient work ethic.

Your tasks
- Responsible for complex accounting entries as per SWISS GAAP FER and assisting subsidiaries with complex accounting entries
- Responsible for month-, quarter
- and year end closing as per SWISS GAAP FER as well as year-end closing as per OR according to schedule
- Produce correct accounting and controlling reports, present the results and deliver summarized financial status (P&L, Cost Center Reports, NWC and other Standards)
- Spot errors, suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending / saving initiatives
- Support in forecast and budget process
- Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Your profile:

- Minimum of 5 years proven experience as accountant, preferably within an international group environment
- Education in Finance and Accounting with a higher degree
- Knowledge of SWISS GAAP FER and SCO
- Solid experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Proven experiences in SAP FI / CO and advanced MS Excel skills (vlookup, pivots etc.)
- English fluent, very good knowledge in German is an asset
- Open minded, team player
