About the team you are joining

The Distribution team’s main goal is to help airlines and other airline industry players move towards a modern retailing approach, using API-based messaging standards. This is done through stakeholders engagement, implementation support, and certification.
We are looking for a motivated and resourceful university or engineering school final year student to join an internship, to build software service prototypes and tools (mostly web-based) to assist with the adoption of IATA messaging standards, carry out data analytics, and support the team with other technical initiatives, such as illustrating and testing new ideas (for new products and services) with mock-ups and wireframe demonstrations.

What your day would be like
- Build and maintain tools to assist software developers with the implementation of IATA Distribution Standards;
- Validate new ideas through proofs of concept or prototypes (web services/APIs, online services - back-end and/or front-end);
- Analyze data in the context of airline retailing (e.g. passenger traffic, certification);
- Support team with the moderation of developer community and content management of developer portal website;
- Perform additional duties as required.

We would love to hear from you if
- University Degree in Computer Science or a related area (within one year of graduation)
- Experience with full stack web programming
- Familiarity with XML and related suite of technologies (e.g. XSD, XSLT, XPath)
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Python (with knowledge of Django framework) and basic database administration (SQL)
- API integration (SOAP and REST)
- JS frameworks such as ReactJS or JQuery would be a plus
- Some experience with data analytics (Python preferred), including data visualization, and proficiency with Excel
- Knowledge of architecture paradigms such as SOA, event-driven architecture, and microservices
- Knowledge of AWS is a plus
- Strong attention to details
- Ability to work efficiently with an international team
- Excellent oral and written English, other languages would be a plus
