Optotune & NextLens is a strongly growing and internationally active optics company based in Dietikon, Switzerland. We develop, manufacture and market the latest generation of adaptive optical elements for industrial (Optotune) and consumer markets (NextLens).

Tasks
- Steer multiple development projects to successful completion
- Typically: development of novel solutions for consumer electronics customers using our liquid-optics technology
- Sometimes: internally driven technology development projects or improvement initiatives
- You use your hard (including PM methodologies) & soft skills to ensure project delivery to specification, time & cost
- As direct interface to customers (incl. major players in mobile phone industry) you understand & negotiate requirements, manage risk & expectations and organise our activities to ensure customer satisfaction
- “Matrix” manage project teams (engineering, sales, operations, support functions), driving progress by ensuring clarity of requirements, coordination, and follow-up
- Provide reporting, recommendations to Leadership team & manage escalations
- Own Project & Program management methodologies in NextLens by implementing and improving existing methodologies and introducing new ones as necessary
- Provide training (formal & informal) and advice to NextLens team
- Support Portfolio Management activities
- You create, consolidate & analyse Project related data and provide recommendations for portfolio decision making
- Support to Leadership team in project based financial planning (for budgets, forecasts, Headcount planning etc.)

**Requirements**:

- At least 5 years of experience in project management or Program/Portfolio management for high volume consumer electronics customers, preferably in optics for mobile phone cameras
- Technical degree (engineering / physics / photonics or related fields) and ongoing use of technical knowledge in your work, PMP or other Project Management accreditation is a plus
- Agility in maintaining big-picture whilst diving into details to solve specific problems
- Comfortable with rapid pace of development and change
- Expert communication, coordination, expectation management skills, hands on and pragmatic
- English proficiency (Korean/Chinese nice to have).
- Ready to travel up to 20%.
