**Associate Legal & Compliance (50-60%)**:

We are looking for an experienced, flexible and motivated team member for our Legal & Compliance team.

Zurich

**Your responsibilities**:

- Support the Head of Legal & Compliance and the team in all legal and compliance matters:

- initiate, maintain and enforce guidelines and procedures for the general operation of the compliance concept
- support preparation and filing of registrations as a foreign reinsurer in the relevant countries
- assist legal research and gather relevant information to business cases
- answer due diligence requests from new and existing clients
- correspondence with Swiss and international authorities
- organize, administer and help to prepare compliance trainings for all staff
- monitor internal procedures (e.g. observing time limits/deadlines, reminders, schedule of deadlines)
- Responsible for coordinating and managing the company norm database and conducting related staff trainings
- Responsible for the Know Your Customer (KYC) process in our weather and agro business:

- perform due diligence on new and existing clients, request KYC information/documentation, review and verify documents received,
- continuous monitoring of KYC status of existing clients
- communicate effectively and efficiently with relevant internal and external parties to obtain KYC documents
- Carry out general administrative work in English and German: organize meetings, workshops, business trips, etc.

**Your profile**:

- Paralegal or commercial apprenticeship and/or in training for bachelor in (business) law
- Preferably 2-4 years’ professional experience in the finance sector or legal environment or in a similar position
- Profound Office365 knowhow
- Flexibility and ability to prioritise tasks, to work independently and to assume responsibility
- Close attention to details and ability to perform effectively under pressure of deadlines and unexpected tasks
- Enthusiasm to learn and to support the team with new or ongoing compliance projects
- Team player
- Presentation skills
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and German
