As part of their growth plans, they are now asking for our help to find them an experienced trust manager to join their busy, Geneva office. **Position**:
This is a newly-created position as Trust Manager, joining a busy, human-sized, dynamic office.
In more details:
- Manage a broad and varied client portfolio, investigating and suggesting enhancements where necessary, as well as ensuring timely and effective client care
- Review client structures, completing review process for client entities, demonstrate risk awareness and mitigate exposure, including the fulfilment of responsibilities under the review procedures
- Awareness and adherence to contractual and statutory obligations under the group's policies, procedures and guidelines, including the group's core values and expected behaviours, acting as a guide in this respect to members of the team
- Attendance at, and preparation and review reports, for management and meetings, as well as the review of client accounts where relevant
- Manage team billing and cash collection/debtors process, have a strong awareness of recoverability and work in an efficient manner so as to minimize write-offs
- Review legal and tax advice where appropriate and be able to interpret/implement relevant advice as required
- Ensure a prompt and professional service is provided to clients and intermediaries
- Check, maintain and ensure accuracy of the central diary systems to ensure that deadlines are recorded and subsequently met
- Management and training of members of the team, conducting appraisals and performance management reviews
- Promote the range of services the Group can provide to existing clients within the portfolio and identify new business opportunities
- Deputise in the absence of other senior members of the team/department
- Adhere to Risk & Associate compliance procedures in relation to regulatory requirements and AML legislation
- Adhere to CPD requirements in accordance with qualification level and in-house procedures
- Any other duties as deemed necessary by Management
**Profile**:
- A minimum of 10 years+ relevant experience in the trust administration
- STEP qualified preferably; UK common law legal and /or tax expertise a strong plus but not a must
- Good knowledge of trust and corporate structures and a clear understanding of fiduciary responsibilities
- Experience and ability to manage a small team of Trust Officers
- Strong client relationship skills, as well as excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
- Ability to contribute to improve the existing work directives and procedures
- A team player with a positive working attitude and ‘hands-on’ mentality
- Strong focus on compliance and regulatory matters, including but not limited to FATCA and CRS
- Fluent English (excellent written and oral)
- MS Office suite, e and IT/software-savvy as far as trusts business is concerned
- Eligible for a Swiss work permit, if not already in possession of one
- Locally based or compelling reasons for wishing to move to the Geneva area - Swiss, EU/EFTA nationals or equivalent
- Available to start this new, permanent contract ASAP (3 months' notice maximum, less ideally)
