Department of Computational Linguistics_ **NLP PostDoc position in large Innosuisse-funded project** **40% (with option to increase through teaching) **:The Department of Computational Linguistics conducts research and provides teaching in the domains of computational linguistics, language technology, phonetics and speech signal processing as well as digital linguistics. The "Language Technology for Accessibility" group headed by Dr. Sarah Ebling focuses on the contribution of language technology to accessibility for persons with disabilities and special educational needs. The flagship is led by the Department of Computational Linguistics of the University of Zurich (PI: Dr. Sarah Ebling) and consists of five research partners and six implementation partners. **Your responsibilities**: Collaborate with research and industry partners in a large project Conduct research throughout all phases of the project, adhering to the milestones and deliverables Develop approaches to audio description translation using machine learning (deep learning) methods, focusing on the official languages of Switzerland Present your findings at international conferences and through scientific publications Supervise student assistants in the project **Your profile**: Excellent Master's degree in computational linguistics, computer science, AI, or a related discipline Strong programming skills (Python) Theoretical and practical knowledge of machine learning (deep learning) methods, as demonstrated by familiarity with at least one major deep learning framework Interest in human-assisted machine translation (including post-editing) Proficiency in English (oral and written).
