Arxada is looking for an Intern in Process Technology within the R&D department based in Visp, Switzerland. In this role you will get insides into a diverse specialty chemical company in the middle of the Alps of the canton of Valais in Switzerland. You will be able to practice your skill set on real problems in interaction with multidisciplinary people. The processing time should be at least 4 months, up to 12 months.
Key responsibilities:
- Process simulations or experimental work, or a combination of both
- Planning and conducting of chemical experiments in collaboration with senior engineers or chemists for various chemical process technologies
- Data collecting, processing and interpretation of results
- Possible topics evolve around the fields of separation technology, particle technology or data analytics
Key requirements:
- Bachelor or Master degree in chemical or process engineering, chemistry or a related field
- Structured, focused and well-organized working attitude
- A flexible personality, initiative, willingness to learn and commitment complete your profile
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with flowsheet simulation software such as ChemCAD or Aspen is an advantage
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken), German is a plus.
