Location: Belgium, Germany, Italy, UK Accountable for the long-term profitable growth of offering. Manage the product line, Medium Voltage Cable Accessories, of the ABB offering to target market segments, and managing offering through all its life cycle phases, according to market needs and Division/Product Group/Business line strategy and targets. Support business results by overseeing all steps of the offering life cycle including development, launch, go-to-market, maintenance, pricing, and profitability. The role will report to the Global Product Management Manager.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Lead market intelligence analysis. Understand and define current market segmentation and related offering positioning including relevant regulations and standards e.g., on medium voltage cable accessories. Identify potential gaps in portfolio, both against competition and new market opportunity.
- Own the technical and market specification for the offering and determine an offering business plan that supports sustainable growth. Responsible for offering profitability and margin. Lead life cycle management process, analyze current offering, define and track performance metrics, plan appropriate measures (e.g., enhancements, cost reductions, phase-outs) and make decisions on offering obsolescence and end-of life to ensure current and future market requirements are met and maximize profitability.
- Act as interface between external market and internal functions (e.g., Sales, Operations, and Research & Development), forecasting volume trends on a regular basis to ensure Operation’s capability to fulfil customer orders. Set targets and monitors offering costs, giving inputs to Operations functions (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Production) to maximize competitiveness and profitability.
- Define new offering plans, set technical, price, cost, and capital expenditure targets. Contribute to development of new portfolios by leading customer need and value analysis, planning the roadmap to create maximum value, follow-up of offering portfolio performance. Initiate and drive cross functional and cross-organization product and solution innovation teams, monitors development of all standards and market trends and provide inputs to Research & Development (R&D). Prioritize new offering development projects coordinating cross-functional teams. Own and approve defined offering development process stage gates. In preparation for new product launch, and otherwise as required, define pricing strategies. Ensure correct pricing is applied for all countries within relevant business area. Develop and maintain a global reference price list appropriate to both ABB internal offering positioning strategy and competitor offerings and ensure this is developed and deployed to reflect the needs of individual markets.
- Initiate and drive product market communication strategy, including product launch planning and implementation. Manage different channel to market scenarios in coordination with channel partners and Marketing & Sales to ensure best market coverage.
- Define product customer value proposition per segment and channel and ensure clear communication to channels and users, to deliver clear offering positioning within the portfolio with defined values per offering line. Continuously develop product management processes and tools, including interfaces to other key functions and develop sales and tendering tools to support the Sales organization. Initiate creation of external and internal product training modules and programs.
- Ensure (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guide, motivate, and develop direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.
- Create a Sustainability strategy for the global Offering portfolio, supporting ABB's commitment to circular economy.

**Your background**:

- Mechanical engineering background/qualification or similar field
- Product Management experience in multi discipline environment, technically capable of reading, interpreting, and understanding technical drawings and other industrial terminology.
- Previous experience in Product Management or Research & Development coordinating life cycle management, product design requirements, planning projects, production, tooling requirements to launch products to market
- Current or prior experience on medium voltage installation systems, switch gear, cable accessories or any other related fiel
