Purpose
As Global Learning Lead embedded within the Supply Chain Management (SCM) organization this role is pivotal in fostering continuous learning, skill development, and talent growth across the SCM functions.
The position will play a critical role in aligning our people with the evolving demands of the supply chain industry and ensuring that our employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their roles. The incumbent will develop, implement, and continuously update our functional Learning & Development (L&D) concept, in close collaboration with the GSCM SLT and Human Resources. For this purpose, the role holder will work extensively with internal stakeholders, such as internal experts and peers in other functions, as well as external parties, such as consultants or learning providers.
The position is essential in maintaining and enhancing our competitive edge in the global marketplace by optimizing our SCM personnel’s performance and capabilities. It is also an important contributor to employee engagement.- Key Accountabilities
- Training Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive L&D strategy that aligns with the SCM objectives, career frameworks and Talent Management processes, supporting a continuous pipeline of skilled professionals.
- Curriculum Development: Build an SCM learning framework and platform by designing, curating, and maintaining training concepts, programs, materials, and resources tailored to the specific needs of SCM overall and its functions. Ensure seamless integration in the existing adidas L&D curriculum.
- Learning Delivery: Ensure implementation of curriculum through various training methods, e.g., workshops, e-learning, on-the-job training, and mentorship, to impart knowledge and skills to employees effectively. Programs might be delivered by the position holder or through others (internal and/or external experts). Evaluate and utilize an effective mix of methods and technologies.
- Budget Management: Plan and oversee SCM L&D budget in close collaboration with functions and markets, ensuring the most effective use of the funds.
- L&D Performance Assessment: Develop and execute evaluation mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of L&D programs and identify areas for improvement.
- Transformation Support: Support transformation initiatives by advising on an effective training strategy and supporting the creation of knowledge transfer and training plans, in close collaboration with the responsible Project Managers.

- L&D Expertise: Proven experience in designing and implementing effective training programs and strategies using multiple methods and technologies.
- Supply Chain Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SCM principles, practices, and industry trends is preferred.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing data to identify trends, skill gaps and training needs.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely through suitable channels.
- Stakeholder Management: Experience working with a variety of stakeholders, such as senior leaders, peers, internal and external stakeholders, Universities, or vendors. Ability to navigate in a complex organizational setup.
- Influencing & Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate teams (even if they’re not reporting to the role), fostering a culture of continuous L&D.
- Change Management: Understand change processes, demonstrate ability to manage change through L&D activities, and adapt to evolving business needs.
- Project Management: Experience in structuring and managing L&D projects from briefing all the way to delivery, utilizing project management and planning tools. This includes managing and coordinating project resources and project team members.
- Budgeting: Understanding of budgeting processes and ability to plan financial resources as well as oversee distribution and spend of funds.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline (e.g., Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology) or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8-10 years of working experience, including 5-7 years of experience in L&D in a complex organization.
- Proven experience in curriculum design, training delivery, skills gap assessment, program effectiveness evaluation and L&D project management.
- Several years of experience partnering with an SCM function is preferred.
