**About the role**
We are looking for an inspirational leader and experienced actuary to head the Pricing team for Continental Europe. Are you an actuary with strong people skills? In this role you would be responsible for coaching and developing a team of passionate actuaries that collaborate with cross-functional teams across the Continental European markets. You would provide costing insight and expertise inside and outside of Swiss Re. The role reports to the Hub Head L&H Products EMEA.
**Main activities**:
- Ownership over and provide approval of referrals and biometric assumptions.- Drive and lead the community into understanding of IFRS 17 and its impact on the reinsurance business.- Coach and develop a passionate team of pricing actuaries that collaborates across various countries within the region.- Be a strong sparring partner and collaborate with client markets and in cross-functional teams.- Represent Swiss Re at client meetings, showcasing your thought leadership and actuarial expertise.- Be a pro-active member of Swiss Re's EMEA L&H Products Hub leadership team.- Lead ad-hoc projects and make a difference in the region.**About you**- You focus on what really matters. You have a clear understanding of the company goals and don’t lose focus when urgencies or conflicting priorities come up.- We look for a qualified actuary with significant experience.- You see yourself as a curious, innovative and imaginative person that values entrepreneurial curiosity and has an interest in what is happening in the world.- Your effective and trusted leadership as well as your ability to listen are recognized by your teams- You build and maintain excellent client relationships and will have a strong market presence that you know how to translate into business opportunities.- You know what it takes to actively control the performance of their business.- You have a deep understanding of the Life & Health business and are familiar with the markets in Continental Europe.- You are a person with views and opinions. You challenge the status quo but most importantly you are comfortable in doing something about it, this might also involve exploring unconventional ideas or new ways.- You are an effective communicator.
