The FEI promotes equestrianism in all its forms, and encourages the development of the FEI equestrian disciplines throughout the world, keeping the welfare of the horse at the heart of all activities.
Today, the FEI has more than 130 members of National Federations and there are over 4,300 international events annually, including a number of FEI Championships and global FEI series. Over 120,000 athletes and horses are registered, and women and men compete as equals.
Over 100 FEI staff are working in FEI’s Headquarters in Lausanne, ensuring the sport continues to grow and flourish, the rules are enforced, the results are processed, the international calendar is managed, and that the very values that are at the core of equestrian sport are safeguarded and promoted.
The FEI is currently looking for a full-time Content Manager with an immediate starting date for its Commercial Department.
**Purpose of the Role**
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Content strategy and planning
- Develop a content strategy for the production of sports and lifestyle content, including channels, formats, style and languages
- Keep an overview of all content requirements for different stakeholder groups, including Media Rights Holders (MRH), FEITV, FEI Digital, FEI Partners, Marketing, IOC and Event Organizers and ensure effective delivery
- Oversee the long terms concept of the RIDE magazine, manage the development of the story lines and ensure the production. Work closely with the media rights manager to ensure media exposure and get market feedback on format and story lines
- Include all relevant international milestones in the content calendar, e.g. world horse day and ensure adequate coverage on the FEI digital channels
- Manage the publishing schedules for the FEI Digital channels
- Manage the FEI Media House content production team and the network of freelancers delivering content and story lines. Oversee the content planning, production delivery and publishing process
- Further develop and expand the freelance network
2. Content production and publishing
- Oversee the FEI’s global horsemanship and lifestyle storylines and the corresponding content planning; organise relevant content production for the media channel and commercial partners
- Manage the FEI digital and social media platforms in line with the overall objectives. Maintain social media guidelines for partners, stakeholders and contributors in compliance with existing Media Rights Agreements
- Ensure quality control over the production, in particular related to horse welfare
- Evaluate performance of the content published, campaign digital activations and engagement, adapt where necessary to improve performance
3. Marketing Content
- In close coordination with the marketing manager, plan content production for marketing campaigns to promote the FEI Events and Series, FEI Campaigns and FEI Services
- Include relevant campaigns in the publishing schedules for the FEI digital channels
- Develop TV adverts in accordance with the required formats
4. Broadcast Content
- Work closely with the media rights manager and the Manager Broadcast Production to ensure the content for the media rights holders is delivered in accordance with the contractual requirements
- In close coordination with the media rights manager and the Manager Broadcast Production, develop new content and story lines to increase the exposure on media rights holder channels and news outlets
5. Olympics
- In close coordination with the Manager Broadcast Production, ensure adequate coverage of the Olympic qualifiers on the FEI Channels
- Develop relevant story lines for athlete, horse and nations in the build up to the Olympic Games and in close coordination with the media rights manager develop specific story lines to be distributed to media rights holders, possibly as part of a time buy agreement
- Work closely with OBS& OCS to develop Olympic Games related content and ensure coverage of the equestrian disciplines on the IOC channels and the Olympic Channel in the build up to and during the Olympic Games
6. Branded Content
- Work closely with the sponsorship sales manager to develop concepts for branded content campaigns for FEI commercial partners, with the objective to drive traffic, increase engagement across the FEI Digital channels and provide adequate return of investment
- Oversee the implementation of the branded campaigns of the FEI digital channels and optimize performance where required
7. Influencers
- Oversee the development of the influencers program for the FEI
- Manage the narratives and content production for the influencers and measure performance
8. Management and Administration
- Management of budgets
- Management of invitation to tenders and agencies providing services
- Management of the FEI Media House content product
