machineMD is a Swiss medical device company, founded in Bern in 2019, that develops innovative solutions to radically improve early detection of brain diseases such as stroke, multiple sclerosis and brain tumours. The company combines Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence to empower neurologists and ophthalmologists with reliable diagnostic data.
In 2021, machineMD was awarded an Innosuisse project grant to develop the
NeurOphthalmoscope for standardized and automated examinations of brain diseases via the visual pathway. The project is developed with partners CSEM, Helbling Technik, and Inselspital Bern.
We are seeking a talented Technical Writer to work with our small and dynamic start-up team and prepare technical documentation of the NeurOphthalmoscope in support of our upcoming CE Mark submission.
Tasks
- Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards.
- Obtain a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content.
- Develop and maintain detailed databases of appropriate reference materials, including
research, usability tests, and design specifications.
and write Instructions For Use, technical specifications, and process documentation.
- Structure your work by developing templates and organizing data in central
repositories.
**Requirements**:
- You are excited by the opportunity to help bring a new medical device to market.
- 2-4 years’ industry experience as an effective technical writer, with demonstrable experience writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences.
- Knowledge of Simplified Technical English or comparable standards.
- Proven ability to learn quickly, understand complex topics, and document with precision.
- You have full working proficiency in English and German, any other European
language is a plus.
