The Biozentrum of the University of Basel is one of the leading life sciences institutes in the world. It consists of 32 groups and 500 employees that research how molecules and cells create life, spanning the scale from atom to organism. Founded in 1971, the Biozentrum has been the birth place of many fundamental discoveries in biology and medicine, spawning several Nobel Laureates.

We are looking for an administrative assistant for several research groups.

**Your position**
- Support of the research group leaders in administrative and organizational matters
- Organization of courses, lectures and conferences
- Managing courses and teaching materials using an online system and direct communication with students
- Support in personnel and financial administration
- Planning, organization and documentation of meetings
- Planning and accounting of business trips
- Assistance to foreign visiting scientists

**Your profile**
- University degree in the natural sciences and experience in research or administration, or completed commercial training with several years of practice, preferably in a university environment
- Excellent knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
- High competence in the use of modern communication tools
- Confident handling of office software

This position is limited to two years, with an option for permanent employment after a positive evaluation.
