In this role you will be leading and managing cross-functional and multi-country process and resources of product creation projects in the global product group for developing or creating products, solutions or services, ensuring achievement of project targets by fostering successful project practices. You will be focusing on leading an efficient and lean product creation culture and the business perspective.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Leading and managing project managers in complex, multisite, global projects, programs and portfolios with high technical and/or business risks, motivating and monitoring internal and/or external resources to accomplish all targets and coaching project members and sharing lessons learnt.
- Ensuring achievement of established targets, through project management and definition of improvement actions as needed, focusing on PG’s projects achieving targets on Time, on Cost and with required quality.
- Overseeing the management of cost, scheduling and performance objectives of the projects’ portfolio, managing interdependencies between projects/programs in order to realize specified benefits, ensuring appropriate requirements within a program portfolio by partnering with relevant internal organizations or other customers.
- Developing with relevant stakeholders the business case and keeping accountability
- Ensuring understanding of customer value, evaluating business/market requirements and innovation, engaging stakeholders in defining value and integrates feedback into activities and proposal for program/portfolio content to senior management.
- Leading Divisions product creation process within GPG’s reach, developing and facilitating the implementation of sound project management culture, requirements, processes, methods, techniques, tools, handbooks and guidelines.
- Ensuring projects follow methodology and execution practices in accordance with standard ABB internal directives and procedures such as Gate model and/or PCP as well as external standards etc. that influence activities and targets.
- Effectively organizing, monitoring and controlling activities for ensuring achievement of planned milestones and gates and efficient utilization of available resources, monitoring and controlling program/portfolio cost and financials, reporting to and take directives from steering committee.
- Ensuring transparency around change requests, unforeseen results/events and identified risks and ensuring that they are properly managed and communicated, ensuring that all opportunities are captured and acted upon.
- Serving as the key contact and escalation point for the project portfolio/program stakeholders, effectively engaging and communicating appropriate information to stakeholders (and SteCo) for achieving desired buy-in, understanding and support, leading in partnership with business managers, steering committees, different internal functions and external parties, ensuring product creation by coordinating significantly with product management, global sales and marketing, operations, service and business management.
- Implementing HSE and business compliance standards and regulations in the area of responsibility.
- Implementing and ensuring compliance with global and local standards, rules, tools, policies and processes related to operations/project execution and share functional best practices and lessons learnt across the organization.

**Your background**:

- You have good and effective communicating skills that you can use in leading a diverse team of people.
- Fluent English skills are required, while skills in Finnish, Swedish, Italian or Chinese languages can be beneficial.
- Background of experience in Projects, managing teams of people and leadership
- Technical or Engineering background may be beneficial.
