**DevOps for a Bern client**:
Introduction

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with extensive AWS experience for a full-time role.

The client is a primary company based in Bern, but offers good flexibility for remote working for at least 3 days a week.

Our client's engineering team designs the entire pipeline for a highly critical Control System, iThe team is responsible for the architecture of the production environments, their development, continuous integration, testing, deployment and maintenance.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a DevOps Engineer with high AWS experience. He/she will be responsible for implementing and managing Infrastructure as code (IaC), software development, continuous integration, system administration, and Linux.

The client is a primary industry and is located in Bern but offers very good flexibility for remote work.

**Job Description**:
The Platform Engineering Team of our client designs the entire pipeline for a crucial Control System, which is based on the systems provided. The team is responsible for the architecture of the production environments, their development, continuous integration/testing/delivery and their maintenance.

Tasks
Setup and engineering of the AWS Outpost in the data centers
Setup and automation of Software Defined Network, DNS and load balancing within the AWS Outpost
Setup and engineering of Openshift and databases (PGO) on the AWS Outpost
Setup and maintenance of EKS clusters
Support in the area of messaging (Solace)
Support and advice to ARTS in the implementation of their Openshift projects

Must-have criteria
AWS-CDK scripting
Linux platform engineering
Completed computer science education
Experience in an agile environment (Scrum / Kanban)
Basic Kubernetes/Openshift know-how

**Salary**: We offer an interesting salary with a permanent Swiss contract

**Work location**: Bern, partially in SmartWorking

**Pre-requisites**: you must be in possession of a work permit valid for Swiss territory or have the nationality of a European nation.
