As a Manager Process Safety in our Safety team, you will work in teams to identifying risks, defining measures and ensuring their implementation to reduce the risk of occurring events, that could have a negative impact on the plant, employees, environment and the company's reputation. Process

Key responsibilities:
- Competent authority for plant
- and process-safety for the production areas and R&D lab in Visp
- Training, assistance and support in risk analyzes, safety audits, ATEX, major accident ordinance and their qualitative review
- Participation in the discussion of change requests and the clarification of the causes of process-relevant incidents including documentation in the global database (Intelex)
- Contact to the authorities especially for drafting, review and development of major accident ordinance safety reports and risk mitigation calculations
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPI) to ensure compliance, clarity and communication
- Implements global guidelines in his area with respect to process safety, change management, incident reporting/investigation, explosion protection and security.
- Advice on operational, planning and maintenance areas, facilitate training to all level with respect to process safety
- Continuous further development of the safety-related know-how
- Participation in the development and updating of the relevant security standards
- First point of contact for authorities with respect to any issues related to major accident ordinance and dangerous goods transportation
Key requirements:
- Ph.D. or MSc. in chemical engineering or Chemistry
- Several years of professional experience in the field of plant and process safety or experience as manager in operations / infrastructure engineer in a chemical production plant
- Works in partnership as an active member of the team and cross-functional working groups
- Ability to communicate effectively, collaborate, and foster positive interactions with project team members and stakeholders
- Implements and demonstrates the highest standards of safety, ability to lead interdisciplinary and international teams
- Fluency in German
