**Job Description**:
The position, based in Geneva, will be responsible for coordinating and performing the operational risk review programme. It reports into the Operational Risk Committee. This is an extremely ‘hands on’ position, working autonomously to identify control weaknesses and to provide a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the risk management, control and governance processes.

**Primary responsibilities**
- Prepare and manage the global operational risk reviews
- Deliver risk-based assurance and advisory services, in accordance with the Company’s Risk Assessment framework
- Design and conduct testing plans to validate key operational controls are functioning correctly
- Provides advice and insight into on managing related control environment and recommendations to mitigate organisational and process risks
- Track remediation plans and follow up
- Escalate to the Operational Risk Committee key control gaps and flag where remediation timelines are not being met
- Liaise with internal and external audit teams and share best practices
- Build strong relationships with key internal teams to identify areas for support, raise awareness and manage ongoing risks
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- At least 7-8 years’ experience in an Audit / Advisory / Operational Risk role, ideally within an integrated oil company
- Understanding of operational risks associated with physical energy trading, upstream and downstream operations would be advantageous
- Understanding of the operational infrastructure of a trading company (IT systems, trading platform, back-office systems)
- Experience working in and resolving problems independently in a fast-paced, results-oriented trading environment
