Director, Gdd Pipeline Operations

In Portfolio, Strategy & Management (PS&M) our remit is to enable GDD to reimagine current practices and incubate novel capabilities to enhance efficiency and quality of drug development. Together we can optimize the way we operate, so that GDD is better poised to develop medicines that improve and extend people's lives.
- Major Accountabilities- Partners with Functions and Business Units in GDD, NIBR, Commercial (Pharma and Oncology), and Sandoz Biopharmaceuticals to align on processes, data models and system interactions to ensure seamless planning of drug development projects from PPA to Approval and Market.
- Directs deeper integration among existing systems to enable data sharing, optimize system landscape and avoid duplication - Integrated system landscape: to build transparency across the flow of data and insights from end to end to make data and insights available seamlessly
- Supports initiatives across functions, research, and development units to create fully integrated project portfolio management processes and solutions.
- Provides guidelines and training to ensure adherence to processes, quality, timeliness and accuracy of inputs and guides change management processes to enable full leverage of current and future project and portfolio systems
- Realizes the full potential of project and portfolio systems by delivering functional enhancements and new capabilities as per agreed roadmap and by ensuring strong user adoption by improving user experience and enhancing user communication and support. Has people management responsibilities for a broad functional / technical area
- Regularly interacts with senior management and/or major customers (internal or external), prepares and presents proposals to senior management
- Ensures budgets and schedules meet organizational requirements.
- Makes the GDD Pipeline Operations team a well-respected partner for our customers who understands their business needs and provides state of the art solutions in Project & Portfolio Management.

**Minimum requirements**
- Degree in Health/ Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related disciplines
- Minimum of 10+ years professional experience in healthcare industry, of which at least 5 years in drug development.
- 5 years of People leadership experience
- Strong cross-functional matrix leadership experience and ability to establish strong partnerships without formal authority.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with demonstrable track record of developing senior management ready presentations; along with strong planning and organization skills.
- Solid understanding of drug development (e.g. clinical development milestones, trial designs, timelines etc.)
- Strong Project Management skills and a strong team player
- Very good analytical, problem solving, planning and organizational skills
- Excellent communication ability coupled with fluent English oral and written skills
