Established by the World Economic Forum in 2018, the Centre for Cybersecurity strives to provide an independent and impartial platform to reinforce the importance of cybersecurity as a strategic priority and drive global public-private action to address systemic cybersecurity challenges. The Centre for Cybersecurity is today working with over 150 organizations, from both public and private sectors, towards securing our digital future.
Why we are Recruiting
The Centre for Cybersecurity engages multiple public, private and civil society stakeholders through various channels including event participation and communications. We are hiring a Lead, Programming and Communications to successfully manage the Centre for Cybersecurity’s program curation and delivery of the Centre’s Annual Meeting on Cybersecurity, ensure cybersecurity is leveraged at Forum institutional events and strengthen engagement with relevant external events. In addition, the Lead will strategize and manage the Centre’s internal and external communications, and develop and disseminate Centre marketing products. S/he will be the point of contact between the Centre and the Forum’s Programming and Global Communications teams.
Reporting Lines & Interactions
The Lead, Programming and Communications will report to the Head of Industry and Partnerships, Centre for Cybersecurity. S/he will also work closely with the Centre colleagues, and other relevant counterparts across the Forum, to drive the holistic design of the Centre sessions & programs across Institutional and Centre events. S/he will also design and implement the communications for the Centre and contribute to enhancing the consistency of interrelated pieces across the Forum.
Breakdown of main responsibilities
The Lead will drive and manage the Centre for Cybersecurity’s programming and communications, and marketing function. In particular:
- Program Curation_- Lead the design, development, and delivery of the Annual Meeting on Cybersecurity, working closely with Centre colleagues. Ensure robust project management to keep the team aligned on deliverables and strengthen collaboration with central Forum teams such as hospitality, event services, audio visual, security, registration etc. towards ensuring a smooth delivery of the meeting. Assume oversight over the logístical aspects of the meeting to ensure we deliver a quality experience to participants.- Lead the program curation and narrative development of the Centre for Cybersecurity at Forum institutional events (e.g. Annual Meeting, Industry Strategy Meeting, Global Technology Summit, Growth Summit etc.), collaborating with Centre teams and working closely with Global Programming counterpart(s)- Work closely with the relevant Centre teams, and cross-Forum counterparts in curating the Centre’s participation in events (including sessions), and engagement in key external events (e.g. events hosted by select government/ business / civil society partners)- Be the focal point between the Centre for Cybersecurity and the Forum Programming team
- Communications_- Develop and manage the Centre’s overall communications planning and strategies, in close collaboration with Centre initiative teams and Forum media and digital teams- Manage the Centre’s social media channels and engagement, including managing the Centre’s Linkedin account, and collaborating with the digital team to develop institutional videos and social media videos- Monitor current events in the media and develop a point of view on topical issues for dissemination to the media- Coordinate with the media team to manage, strategize and prioritize Centre media engagement, such as Centre spokespersons’ interview engagement- Develop the supporting material for media intervention including key messages- Provide communications strategy support to each initiative team- Be the focal point between the Centre for Cybersecurity and the Forum’s Global Communications team
- Products_- Create input and output materials as needed in support of flagship meetings (e.g. a two-pager going into events and a digital outcome post-event)- Develop and manage internal communications materials including Centre Welink site, Centre weekly highlight submission and coordinate updates to the Centre’s website in collaboration with the Global Communications Team.- Manage the submission of the Centre’s input into key institutional materials such as the Forum Annual Report- Develop, manage, and disseminate external-facing Centre marketing materials (e.g. Centre marketing deck, newsletter for partners, Centre external-facing website, impact stories), in partnership with the dedicated global communications colleagues- Develo
