As a **Food Safety Systems Group Lead**, you will manage a team of Nestle Research Scientists and Digital Experts to identify solutions for data management and quality improvements that will enable business to gain insights for faster decision making and prediction of food safety issues and threats (Early Warning, chemical contaminants occurrence, risk-based assessment systems, etc.).

You will also establish scientific collaborations or contract partners for the digital research execution and publish recommendations and/or scientific publications about food safety data.

**A Day in the Life of a Food Safety Systems Group Lead**
- Contribute to building and executing the strategic roadmap for digital transformation of food safety.
- Ensure definition of innovative Use Cases with customers to deliver value against key business metrics (customer satisfaction, ROI generation, efficiency gain, ).
- Drive development of prototypes and Proofs of Concept against the cases and transfers to the customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationship with the IS/IT organization to adopt and test emerging technologies and data transformation methodologies.
- Act as a business integrator in the research and development of digital tools to predict upcoming food safety issues and threats by scouting the external solutions, establishing scientific collaboration and licensing where possible.
- Ensure coaching and development of team members, planning of activities and follow up on progress and results reporting to top management. Represent team in communication in internal and external events.

**What will make you successful**
- PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Physics or relevant discipline
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and organize large amounts of data
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills to translate complex problems using non-technical terms
- Knowledge of food safety and quality processes, ability to link it with research for maximum business impact and transfers to businesses
- Agile project management and consumer-centric design thinking
- Experience in driving digital innovation
- Good understanding of all steps of software development
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work towards meeting multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent level of English
