**Global Category Manager, EMS - System Drives**:

In this role you will be responsible for identifying, selecting, qualifying, and continuously developing the best supply base through the total cost of ownership (TCO) to exceed the internal and external superior customer experience on global level. As a Global Category Manager EMS you will have a strong commitment to develop the business in the long run, in close cooperation with Suppliers, R&D, operations, PE/Q and other functions that satisfy both the daily operative needs and long-term business needs to the division.

**This position reports to**:
Head of SCM, System Drives

**Your responsibilities**:

- Category strategy, and actions follow up with global and local teams, and aligned with the operations, ensuring business continuity and that the supply base/suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements.
- Leading the EMS global team (dotted line leadership).
- Managing, planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending and savings forecast.
- Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews price lists, terms and conditions.
- Adapting corporate contractual framework to the local business needs. Recommends frame agreements to management and executes upon approval. Provides ongoing oversight and contract management with suppliers.
- Defining and establishes local standard agreements with all major suppliers. Providing and maintaining standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with Company directives and guidelines.
- Developing processes, tools, analytics, dashboards relevant to the assigned category with help of tools and development team members
- Contributing to and participates in setting and implementing budget and targets within the framework.

**Your background**:

- 5 years’ experience in sourcing and category management and with sound knowledge of EMS industry and Electronic Components.
- Excellent leadership skills and collaboration between different divisions and business areas
- Fluent and collaborative with wide network of suppliers, internal or external customers, Local Divisions, R&D, PEQ etc.
- Cultural awareness, good communication and negotiation skills, good argumentation and ability to influence internally and externally
- A Master of Science in Engineering or Economics.
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Willingness to travel globally min 30% of time.
