**Responsibilities**:

The Insurance Manager further develops the Group insurance programs by optimizing risk coverage and minimizing cost of risk. The Insurance Manager will assume primary responsibility for property damage and construction insurance solutions.
- Ensures efficient management of Group insurance programs with focus on assets, property damage and construction insurance programs
- Guides and manages the process from risk identification to insurance placement, including insurance strategy, data collection, policy wording, tender and placement, premium allocation and policy implementation
- Pro-actively engages with assigned stakeholders in the Holcim Countries, supporting their insurance requests, whenever needed. Ensures alignment between local and Group insurances and identifies efficiency opportunities
- Supports Countries in managing major losses, analyses claims and identifies trends
- Interacts with Group insurers, brokers and loss adjusters and helps monitoring their performance
- Cooperates closely within the team and with other global functions for effective risk prevention and efficient risk financing solutions
- Covers additional Group insurance lines as required

Education/Qualifications:

- Degree in risk management, insurance, engineering, applied economy or related fields
- Alternatively, solid insurance apprenticeship with further insurance qualifications

**Experience**:

- 5 - 10 years of experience with multinational insurance programs gained as an insurance underwriter, broker or insurance manager of multinational corporates
- Strong technical know-how in asset and construction insurance solutions in Europe and US
- Preferably some NatCat, loss prevention and risk engineering knowledge
- Experience with claims management processes would be an advantage

Knowledge & Skills:

- True team worker with desire to contribute to the team success and high social competence
- Self starter with the ability to work independently
- Able to reduce complexity by extracting essential information, resulting in clear written and verbal communication
- Affinity to IT with advanced skills in information sharing tools and Excel programs

Language Requirements: Excellent written and spoken English is required. French, German or Spanish would be an advantage. Travel Requirements: 5%
