The ABB Electrification Service division is extending its portfolio with a new advisory service product line. Composed of four offering pillars, the overall objective is to advise customers on making their operations safer, more reliable, and sustainable. As Product Manager Advisory Services - Europe, you will set-up and lead the advisory service team in Europe as part of the new organization. While contributing to the overall advisory services business strategy, you will define a go-to-market model and segment strategy. In this role, you will be developing and supporting the successful implementation of the advisory services strategy in Europe aligned with global priorities to profitably achieve qualitative and quantitative targets. To meet customer demands for advisory services in Europe, you will localize the global advisory services offering and plan, monitor, and develop a local offering portfolio and ensure successful project execution. In the course of this, you will drive excellence in the advisory service teams by promoting continuous development of people and processes, and by championing ABB core values and principles. This role will be based in Europe.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Contribute to development of the new advisory services portfolio by leading customer need and value analysis, planning, following up of portfolio performance for Americas, and ensuring the coordination with the global advisory services organization
- Lead continuous business analysis of the existing portfolio and potential new portfolio items including analysis of alternative investments and reviewing potential partnering options. Direct creation of the local offering business plan, ensuring fit with global strategy. Define the business model and approve the pricing model.
- Analyze and track market, technology, competitors, and trends related to the offering including relevant regulations, and determine competitive attributes and value proposition towards customers
- Support creation, planning, and implementation of advisory service sales strategy and strategic business development initiatives, support creation, planning, and implementation of advisory service operational strategy and FSE (Field Service Engineers) development initiatives including training and support for on-site data collection
- Coordinate advisory service sales activities and operational project execution with country organizations and support local sales teams in achieving order intake, margin, and related objectives for advisory services
- Establish long term customer relationships with key customers and decision makers on C-suite level by understanding the requirements, regulations and exhibiting high expertise in technical solutions and products
- Act as interface connecting customer/external market with internal functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, and Research & Development) and oversees resolution of customer issues
- Ensure that the advisory service organization within assigned area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, trained, competent and directed. Guide, motivate, and develop direct and indirect subordinates

**Your background**:

- 10+ years of experience in leading and managing regional or global functions including marketing, sales, account management and product management.
- Significant sales drive, focus energy to achieve and close profitable deals.
- Excellent skills in customer relations with mature selling behavior and actively drive discussions and negotiations.
- Good knowledge in contract and risk management and understand and use sales processes and related tools as well as the ability to accurately estimate costs of service offerings.
- Proven personal leadership in building and leading teams, shaping collaborative, diverse and inclusive organizational culture with high strategic and results orientation.
- Global mind-set, intercultural sensitivity, and excellent communication skills, fluency in English is essential (written and spoken).
