Head of Data

The Head of Data & Analytics Strategy is a key strategic leader within the CDAO organization, that works closely with all delivery counterparts within CDAO but also with COO (CIO & CTO) as well as with the business, to develop and operate state-of-the-art data & analytics capabilities that generate true business value for Scor, in line with the organization’s objectives.

A strong product-thinking and placing of the user at the heart of data endeavors is essential. Additionally, keenness to stay on top of latest developments around data platforms & advanced analytics techniques is indispensable (e.g. AI, generative.ai).

We are looking for a result-oriented individual with a transformational mindset, that can create cross-organizational synergies but also constructively challenge situations.
- Responsible for the definition and steering of the D&A Strategy through concrete usecases and measurable objectives, and its successful implementation, in line with the organization’s goals
- Shape and track the multi-year D&A Roadmap, support the usecase prioritization (annually/quarterly), planning, delivery and operation of D&AA use cases in a cost-benefit way
- Measure the value and impact of D&A usecases in a systematic way
- Support the definition and execution of the D&A delivery operating model
- Manage the global workforce strategy for D&A Strategy team (skills per location, sourcing of talent, allocation of internal & external resources)
- Responsibility for the (Agile) D&A project delivery office
- Works in close partnership with the Data Platform teams to guarantee the effective delivery of data products and the structured transformation of data
- Ideally 7 plus years of relevant experience in the delivery of large scale data initiatives, in financial services or management consulting, out of which at least 4 years in a leadership role
- Excellent understanding of the re/-insurance value chain
- Excellent knowledge of the full data & analytics spectrum: data foundation, data engineering, analytics engineering, data science
- Proven experience in roadmap development, planning and delivery orchestration
- Hands-on understanding of latest A.I. techniques (e.g. generative.ai)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in English, French is a valued plus
- Knowledge of Palantir Foundry is a valued plus
- Willingness to travel
- Natural talent to motivate employees and create a stimulating and inclusive environment
- Degree in a technical discipline (engineering, mathematics, physics), ideally combined with business education
