Analytics Lead

**IN SHORT**:

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with teams across operations, logistics, finance, R&D, and sales to frame key business challenges, develop and implement data-driven solutions, and lead a small but mighty team of analytics and engineering professionals. You’ll report directly to our CTO and act as the crucial link between business needs and data capabilities.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Business-Driven Problem Solving
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business challenges and identify high-impact analytics opportunities
- Translate strategic questions into structured analytical projects and define KPIs that drive insight and measurable outcomes

Hands-On Analytics & Data Science
- Own and improve production-grade algorithms for forecasting and stock optimization
- Ensure models are scalable, reliable, and treated as real software, not just prototypes or notebooks
- Design experiments with deployment-readiness and operational robustness in mind
- Use Python (pandas, scikit-learn, etc.) and SQL to build and maintain stable, well-documented pipelines
- Monitor and adjust algorithms based on performance and changing business needs
- Align algorithmic outputs with business goals and logic

Leadership & Technical Guidance
- Lead and mentor a small cross-functional analytics team
- Prioritize projects by impact and feasibility
- Foster a pragmatic, delivery-focused culture with high-quality outcomes

Collaboration with Data Engineering
- Work closely with data engineers to ensure reliable, well-structured data
- Help improve pipelines and infrastructure to support scalable analytics

**YOUR PROFILE**:

- 4-7 years of experience in analytics, data science, or applied machine learning
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Strong hands-on skills in Python for data manipulation, modeling, and experimentation
- Confident in SQL and working with large datasets; familiarity with Snowflake or similar platforms is a plus
- Proven ability to translate business questions into analytical solutions with measurable impact
- Experience leading or mentoring technical team members
- Experience with forecasting, supply chain, or inventory optimization models is a plus
- Background in fast-growing or scale-up companies is a plus
- You are fluent in written and spoken English, German would be a plus
