The Head Treasury Investment Management (“TIM”) is responsible for all asset management activities of Novartis with a focus on the assets of the Novartis Swiss Pension Fund with a goal to achieve above-benchmark returns and to support global pension-related projects; the Head TIM also serves as a member of the Treasury Leadership Team (“TLT”).

**Responsibilities**:

- Define the investment strategy for all relevant assets (mainly the Novartis Swiss Pension Fund) and achieve an above-benchmark performance through a multi-asset class investment process, including active asset management and external manager selection
- Implement and further evolve the ESG strategy for the assets under management of the Swiss Pension Fund in line with the guidance from the Board of Trustees
- Regularly present to the Board of Trustees of the Swiss Pension Plan on the ongoing work/performance and educate the Board on latest developments across various existing and new asset classes
- Support other Swiss Pension Funds (i.e., DC plans) and Novartis foundations in all asset management related tasks (e.g., investment line-up and selection of investment choices)
- Act as trusted advisor to management and as center of excellence for all investment/asset management topics and represent Novartis in various internal and external boards
- Advise Novartis’ pension plans globally and provide investment management expertise and support to non-Swiss pension fund management teams
- Manage the Novartis’ liquidity in close collaboration with other relevant Novartis Treasury teams (i.e., to reflect Novartis’liquidity needs and its impact on the maturity profile)
- Execute security market transactions (e.g., own share buybacks, other open market transactions)

**Minimum requirements**
- University degree in Economics/Finance plus CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or similar financial markets education
- German, English
- 10 years +in an investment management and financial markets role (ideally with a focus on pension assets) including people management experience
