We develop performant and robust systems for the management and efficient use of our customers' spatial data. Our team is present in France, Switzerland and Germany and we are recruiting a technical consultant at our offices in Olten to meet our development, integration, support and training needs on our open source geospatial software stack. Your day as a technical consultant You will be one of the main actors in the integration and improvement of GIS OSS in our customer projects in the german-speaking part of Switzerland: - You support our customers in the implementation and maintenance of OSS-based GIS systems - You collect, analyse and write up our customers’ needs - You set up the software to best meet these needs - You test the functionalities and present them to our customers - You support and train the users - You are not afraid to question our customers’ requests in order to offer them the best solutions. Every day, you will have the opportunity to learn something new, contribute to meaningful projects and have a good time with your colleagues. **Profile**: Your essential skills to succeed in this role - You have a genuine interest in open source software and its philosophy - You have experience with GIS OSS such as GeoServer, Mapserver, QGIS, PostGIS, etc. - You are able to write and adapt scripts in Python or similar language - You feel comfortable working with SQL and databases - You enjoy working in a multicultural team. You are a team player, have empathy and care about the team. - You have good german and english language skills - You have a valid work permit for Switzerland. The icing on the cake If you also recognize yourself in the following, it will be a big plus: - You have a Bachelor/Master degree in IT or Geomatics - You are active in Open Source and/or Open Data communities - You are accustomed to working on Linux - You are familiar with Cloud / Kubernetes technology - You have experience in software development with the Java or Python technology stack - You speak french We offer you At Camptocamp, work is like nowhere else.
