Intern - Cast-in Development (M/F/x)

**What's the role?**:
As intern in the Cast-In development team your task is to support our development team by taking the lead for small products and/or product features. You will develop concepts, generate and test prototypes and proof your concepts under lab and jobsite conditions. In order to succeed you are expected to leave known paths and think outside the box.

Start date is flexible to the student's availability, duration for 6-9 months

**What does the role involve?**:
As a student worker in our team you will be part of our development team working on the innovative products of tomorrow.

Precast is one answer to reducing construction industries carbon footprint and increasing its productivity. Precast and with it cast-in solutions are increasingly used in virtually planned buildings and are supported by construction megatrends such as BIM. As part of our team your task is to convert market needs to cost efficient and outperforming product features, from the very first ideas over first prototypes to a final product. You will be rethinking our products monitoring latest trends in manufacturing technologies, assessing improvement potentials in terms of performance, cost and functionality. This includes creating designs and ideas in CAD, presenting and iterating ideas with our market interface, verifying the producibility with our production experts and proving the performance in lab tests.

INNOVATION - We invest more than 5% of our turnover every year in exploring new solutions in diamond systems, measuring tools, firestops, anchors and other fastening systems.

**What you need is**:

- Bachelor/Master’s student in mechanical or civil engineering studies
- Good theoretical background in mechanics and structural engineering as well as hands on experience
- Capability to find creative solutions
- Familiar with an independent work style and ready to take responsibility in own area of competence
- Good communication skills in English
