Business Development Manager - Hydrogen

**Your responsibilities**:

- Responsible for creating, planning and implementing the marketing and sales mission, vision and strategy for PG Hydrogen globally, as well as budget and efficiency targets. Leads the definition of the Global Product Group footprint (market presence, execution standards and delivery model).
- Accountable for achieving assigned order intake, margin and related objectives for PG Hydrogen globally. Drives evaluation of the hydrogen market needs and ensures proactive sales approach with a focus on solutions.
- Defines key marketing and sales targets and establishes appropriate metrics and measurement tools to monitor performance. Proactively anticipates results and identifies gaps in order to take early remedial action and ensure these targets are achieved in the global markets.
- Ensures that the major accounts in the segments are identified and prioritized. Maps market requirements and opportunities to actions.
- Develops relationships with key stake holders. Responsible for planning and implementing customer surveys, analyzing and acting on the results in order to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Ensures ABB’s value proposition for the hydrogen market is developed and well communicated (internally and externally). Actively participates to reinforce ABB’s visibility by strengthening external communication in coordination with the Marketing Communication team and by participating in dedicated customer events and segment trade fairs. Feeds back to the Product Group on market developments and requirements.
- Activates operation intelligence, benchmarking and analysis in order to identify hydrogen segment trends, practices, product gaps, competitor strategy, etc.
- Derives systems for monitoring clients’ financial status, anticipates and reports changes in typical risk factors to relevant internal partner teams globally. Ensures processes established to proactively identify and manage risks relating to contract agreements and prices across customers/channels.
- Develops, implements and reviews sales processes and related tools, and all relevant training and development plans, actions and programs.

**Your background**:

- 10+ years of experience in B2B Sales Management, working as Sales and/or Account Manager in the industrial and/or renewable market
- Experience of Business Development, Account Management and cross-selling
- A clear grasp of contract negotiations, risk management, and commercial and legal terms
- Exceptional communication and negotiating skills, an entrepreneurial mindset and a professional, “hands-on” workstyle
- Ability to navigate in a dynamically changing environment, flexible with creative thinking.
- Prior experience in a start-up/scale-up environment is a plus.
- Fluent English language skills
