As the Head of Securities Finance, you will be responsible for leading the strategic direction and operational oversight of the Securities Finance function within Leonteq Group. You manage and extend Leonteq’s counterparty network to further leverage on securities financing opportunities, have a sound regulatory liquidity background and actively optimize the group’s liquidity and financing needs in this regard. You are closely collaborating with Treasury, Collateral Management, Trading and Risk Control to balance regulatory requirements, financing costs, liquidity and profitability.

This role involves managing a small team of strong individuals, developing robust processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while contributing to the optimization and enhancement of the group’s financing activities.

What you'll do
- Develop and implement the overall strategy for Securities Finance
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of securities lending and borrowing while strongly collaborating with Treasury, Trading, Collateral Management and Risk Control to ensure and optimized financing, collateral and liquidity structure for the group
- Manage and mentor of the Securities Finance team to further develop it
- Automate processes and enhance further the Securities Finance Infrastructure
- Extend and manage the counterparty relationships to further expand funding opportunities
- Optimize the financing costs through your strong negotiation skills
- Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices to drive innovation and improve the organization’s offerings in Securities Finance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, addressing their needs and enhancing service delivery

What you'll need
- At least 8 years relevant bank or securities firm experience in a dynamic investment banking environment, of which at least 5 years in a leading managerial position
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Business or similar
- In-depth understanding of securities lending and repo markets as well as related regulatory frameworks
- Familiarity with trading platforms, risk management tools, and collateral management systems
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; proven ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional relationships
- Team leader with good communication skills with a business, risk management and compliance mindset
- Proficiency in English
