Tasks

We are seeking a visionary and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Technology & Sustainability. In this strategic and operational role, you will be responsible for driving technological innovation, sustainability initiatives, and environmental compliance within our green ammonia development company. You will serve as the expert in ammonia production processes, lead efforts in adopting sustainable practices, establish ESG reporting, and ensure compliance with key regulations globally.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely together with our EPC and project development team, internally and externally, to design and build FUELLA’s first flagship green ammonia plant
- Develop and execute the company's technology and sustainability strategy, aligning it with the overall business objectives.
- Provide expert guidance on hydrogen and ammonia production processes, ensuring optimization of plant design and performance, efficiency, and environmental impact.
- Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to minimize the company's environmental footprint and promote responsible practices throughout the organization.
- Establish and manage ESG reporting, ensuring accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting on sustainability metrics.
- Stay abreast of global regulations related to hydrogen and ammonia production, environmental compliance, and sustainable practices, and ensure the company's adherence to these regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and project development to integrate sustainable practices and drive continuous improvement.
- Build relationships with external stakeholders, industry experts, and regulatory bodies to stay informed of emerging technologies, best practices, and regulations in the field.
- Drive the implementation of certifications and standards related to sustainability and environmental management systems.

**Requirements**:

- Master's degree and ideally PhD in chemical engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in hydrogen and/ or ammonia production processes, with a focus on green and sustainable practices.
- Additional experience in a consulting setup is a plus
- In-depth knowledge of global regulations, certifications, and reporting frameworks related to sustainability and environmental compliance.
- Proven track record in driving technological innovation and implementing sustainable initiatives within an industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of ESG principles and practices, with experience in ESG reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive results.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies, research, and development in the ammonia production industry.
- Project management experience, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Fluency in English is needed; Norwegian is a plus, as well as any other language.
