Enterprise Data Management Lead

Responsibilities:

- Facilitate the establishment and execution of the roadmap for EDM, including governance frameworks, data quality standards, and strategy.
- Contribute to the overall strategic direction in elevating the data management maturity in support of the company’s strategy and setting standards and guidelines.
- Collaborate cross-functionally by liaising with other functional leads and communicate effectively at all levels and across all audiences; synthesizing complex issues and analysis to support decision making at the enterprise level.
- Represent EDM in cross functional governance bodies with key stakeholders.
- Contribute to the establishment of key data management and data governance metrics to ensure effective data management
- Work with leadership to identify data domains and domain leads, owners, and stewards to assists in the development and delivery of EDM strategies across the enterprise
- Contribute to and support the growth and maintenance of internal metadata standards and operating procedures
- Work with leadership to evaluate automation options for data maintenance to improve the efficiency and quality of the master data through the maintenance process
- Build and maintain an extensive data asset catalog
- Lead large scale projects from an enterprise data perspective focusing on metadata, reference data, governance, quality, and analytics
- Serve as the point of contact for the issue detection and resolution process in support of the assigned data source system.
- Support the creation of a Data & Analytics Academy program for all employees, contractors, and approved system users
- Plan, implement, control activities to enable integrated metadata.

Qualifications:

- University or graduate degree in computer science, information/library science, bioinformatics, or related fields and five years of experience
- Collaborates effectively with others across organizational and geographic boundaries and influences all stakeholders towards enterprise outcomes.
- Embraces conversations needed to deliver enterprise value.
- Pharma/Biotech or similarly regulated environment experience mandatory with R&D data experience a plus
- Good organization, planning and change management skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in enterprise data management, data governance practices, and data quality principles and methodologies, including an understanding of data privacy, governance, and policies.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills and ability to influence at all levels across functions and build effective relationships.
- A strong capacity for independent thinking and interest in the underlying scientific questions and improving human health
- 8+ years of experience with some of the following:

- Master Data Process and Systems
- Use of data in large-scale systems
- Data classification and sensitive data identification
- Experience leading large scale data projects
- Project management and/or leadership experience
- Working in a multinational company or environment
- Proven change management ability and track record
- Experience with data quality analysis and root cause investigations
- Experience with data governance & visualization tools
