**The Job** As a Data & Cloud Engineering Team Lead, you will merge your (part-time) data & cloud engineering consultancy delivery activities with the dynamic role of team management for your assigned team. Not only will you lead and coordinate the efforts of your team, but you'll also take an active role in driving business development initiatives. Your responsibilities will include shaping value propositions and building a knowledge base specific to clients or topics. Additionally, ensuring your team's engagement and wellbeing will be a key aspect of your role. You will have a direct impact on all your team members. **What you can expect at Dataroots?** **The Skills** In addition to possessing substantial data & cloud engineering consulting experience, we are seeking for an individual who is also capable of assuming additional responsibilities. As a Data & Cloud Engineering Team Lead, we expect a strong ambition and the ability to showcase a supplementary skill set, the significance of which may vary depending on the nature of the team. **Data & Cloud Engineering skills**: - Leadership in data engineering and cloud architecture. - Proficiency in building ELT data pipelines using tools like Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, Spark, dbt, or related tooling. - Mastery of software engineering skills including Git, Python, and SQL. - Expertise in cloud engineering with tooling like Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes,for robust and scalable cloud infrastructure. - Understanding of at least one data platform such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure data services, or AWS data services. **Team Lead skills**: - Consulting experience combined with team management skills. - Ability to coordinate projects and ensure team performance. - Focus on team engagement, well-being, and skill-building. - Experience in client relationship building and business development. - Documentation and asset building for knowledge sharing and domain-specific development. **The Offer** - An attractive salary package with extralegal benefits such as a company car & fuel card or mobility budget, hospitalisation insurance, group insurance, and a high-end laptop and a smartphone. - A personal & team training budget to further your professional career. - Your innovation budget to work on cool, educational, challenging and open-source projects. - (Virtual) Team Buildings, team gatherings to let off steam and be part of our sports initiatives.
