Julius Baer is offering an excellent opportunity for a driven investment professional with 1 - 3 years of experience and a strong academic background to develop a career in the private markets industry with a predominant focus on private equity.

Over the past nine years Julius Baer has developed an attractive private markets offering across private equity, real estate and private debt to enable its clients exposure to the asset class.

The range of offerings includes an inhouse private equity fund of funds program, custom mandates, feeder funds as well as a co-investment platform.

**YOUR CHALLENGE**:

- Market Research and Investment Sourcing:

- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, investment themes, and potential investment opportunities
- Monitor the primary fund, secondaries and co-investment markets for attractive investment opportunities
- Build out and manage the internal database and deal flow management systems
- Investment Analysis and Due Diligence:

- Assist in the evaluation of potential investment opportunities and conduct due diligence on target funds and underlying assets
- Perform both qualitative and quantitative analysis. This includes financial analysis, such as valuation and cash flow modelling
- Prepare investment memorandums and presentations to support investment recommendations to senior team members and the investment committee
- Deal Execution and Transaction Support:

- Collaborate with senior team members and the legal & structuring department to structure transactions and negotiate terms
- Assist in the preparation of transaction documentation, including investment presentations and legal documentation
- Portfolio Monitoring and Reporting:

- Monitor the performance of existing investments, including tracking financial metrics and conducting performance analysis
- Participate in portfolio reviews and contribute to investment strategy discussions
- Support sales & advisory teams in pitches and client requests:

- Work closely with the sales & advisory team to support the launch of products and further develop the JB global private markets offering
- Assist on responding to client requests and questions that are specific to the private markets offerings

**YOUR PROFILE**:

- Academic background in Economics, Business, Finance, or a related field with excellent credentials
- CFA/CAIA or an equivalent degree is a plus
- 1-3 years of work experience in private equity, asset management, investment banking, or a related field
- Strong skills in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment analysis
- Excellent analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed investment recommendations
- Sound understanding of private markets / private equity investment strategies, market developments, industry trends, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, being able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong communication skills in English; additional language skills are a plus
