**What it's about**

The Portfolio Management business unit is responsible for the strategic steering and portfolio management of the private market investment mandates of Partners Group. The group furthermore supports the acquisition & retention of institutional clients and distribution partners with an emphasis on segregated accounts, semi-liquid private market solutions and new product initiatives.

We are looking to add a Balance Sheet Portfolio Manager to our growing team, based in Zug, Switzerland. This is a special role within the team with a specific mandate to manage the Partners Group balance sheet investment and lending capacity. The role requires close interaction with internal stakeholders at Partners Group, in particular the Group Finance & Corporate Development team, and top management. The main responsibilities are listed below:

- Managing supply and demand of balance sheet capacity between Treasury, Portfolio Management, and Private Markets Business Lines
- Optimizing the usage of balance sheet investment capacity towards an increased, stable P&L contribution from the balance sheet portfolio
- Create bespoke proposals for balance sheet portfolio optimization and efficient use of capital for the broader portfolio management platform

**What we expect**:

- Top academic credentials (MSc/MBA preferred), coursework emphasis on Business Strategy, Finance, Economics and Mathematics will be prioritized
- Professional qualification (e.g. CFA, CAIA) desirable but not a requirement
- 6-9 years' work experience predominantly in private markets, private equity investments or private debt investments and/or portfolio construction experience linked to private markets in a multi-asset context
- Understanding of a wide variety of investing approaches across private markets and in depth knowledge of principles of portfolio construction
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Creativity and a solution orientated approach with an ability to easily digest complexities
- Strong work ethic with a desire to learn and succeed
- Proficiency in English is a must and fluency in another European language (e.g. German) would be preferred but not a requirement
