As part of the Centre for Regions, Trade and Geopolitics, the Forum’s International Organisations and Humanitarian Agenda team manages strategic relations with a broad group of multilateral institutions, engaging their leadership and experts across Forum platforms to disseminate their message and accelerate impact, and help build effective multistakeholder coalitions in support of their mandates and international milestones.
Reason for hiring:
The team plays a pivotal role as a bridge between International Organisations, Forum initiatives and the private sector to ensure a more sustainable and inclusive world, and to ensure that the voices and needs of the most vulnerable communities are included in our approach to deliver new solutions and partnerships. Within this remit, the team spearheads two thematic portfolios to accelerate public-private collaborations around key topics to address the world’s most pressing challenges:
- The- Resilience Consortium
- , launched in 2022, brings together ministers, chief executives and heads of International Organisations, acting as a catalyst for coordinating public and private sector efforts to build and strengthen resilience as a prerequisite for long-term, sustainable and inclusive growth.- The- Humanitarian and Resilience Investing (HRI) Initiative
- was launched in 2019 as an approach to unlock impact investing in frontier markets with the goal to measurably benefit and increase the resilience of at-risk and crisis-hit communities. Since inception, it has brought together over 80 partners across sectors to scale market-driven solutions by mobilizing commercial and catalytic capital, and strengthen the ecosystem for impact investment in frontier markets.- Work closely with team members to support the delivery of strategic initiatives and agenda deliverables, with a stronger focus on the Humanitarian Agenda.- Supporting the development and maintaining of systems and strategies that optimize team efficiency and quality, including internal databases, knowledge tools and team records.- Support planning and delivery for partner meetings, initiative events, roundtables and workshops including key event communications and logistics.- Support the creation of relevant external and internal communication materials (e.g., internal WeLink site, two-pagers, invitations, takeaways, impact stories, initiative decks), ensuring that all team and initiative content is accurate and up-to-date.- Providing research and organization support to team as needed.
Preferred qualification and experience:
- 1 to 3 years’ relevant work experience.- University-level education in international relations, public policy, business, or other relevant fields.- Experience conducting research.
Desired skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; additional languages welcome, with proven track record of creating compelling visual and written communication materials.- Ability to thrive in a demanding environment and handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously.- Digital native - at ease working with digital and social media platforms.
