**Trainee RDI Academy (Technology and Testing Group)** **Location**: Basel, Schweiz Headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, Straumann is a global leader in implant and restorative dentistry and oral tissue regeneration. Having pioneered many of the most influential technologies and techniques in our field, we have a tradition of doing more to advance dental regeneration, restoration and replacement, as well as patient care. You will join the Technology and Testing Group - a part of research, development, and innovation (RDI) at Institut Straumann AG. As a curious and scientifically oriented person, you are interested in understanding how products work and how we can ensure that the highest levels of safety and efficacy for our devices can be reached. You’ll be a part of an international team of engineers and scientists, mainly located at the global Headquarter in Basel. Duration 12 months. **Your main responsibilities** - Coordination and execution of requests for mechanical tests - Support the product development process through V&V testing - Provide consulting support across departments and projects with regards to mechanical tests - Perform data evaluation and statistical analysis with appropriate tools (Minitab, etc.) - Assist in development and improvement of suitable test set-ups and valid methods - Management and preparation of all applicable documentation related to V&V tests - Support the product development process through simulation evaluations as needed **Who are we looking for?** - Technical or scientific degree in mechanical engineering, life sciences or equivalent (e.g. Bachelor, Master in mechanical engineering) - Experience as test engineer for mechanical systems and management of testing equipment - Proficiency in computational modeling and simulation (structural/static analysis, optimization, fatigue performance prediction). - Experience with preparation and management of complex technical documentation - Sound knowledge of CAD modeling - Demonstrates a "Player-Learner" attitude: open communication, adaptable to change, solution-oriented, learns through practical experience, and welcomes feedback - Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
