**Postdoctoral Researcher in Linguistic Geography 80 %**: Start of employment 1 September 2025 or by arrangement

The position is part of the Anthropological Linguistics Group headed by Prof. John Mansfield. The position is offered as a one-year contract, renewable for up to four years based on performance.

Salaries according to the UZH pay scale are internationally competitive: Salary ranges, guidelines for employees in SNSF-funded projects (PDF).

**Your responsibilities**:
**Your profile**:

- You have strong data science skills, including Bayesian statistical modelling. Also desirable would be familiarity with spatial or geographic modelling, phylogenetic methods, and linguistic typology.

You will be joining a team of outstanding language researchers, emphasising teamwork and multidisciplinarity. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential. Good oral and written communication in English is required.
