**Job Description**:

- Reporting to the Global Head of Marketing and Communications for Biogen Biosimilars Unit (BBU) - the Biosimilars Communication Lead is the expert within the Unit that will own and drive the development of our unique value proposition for Biosimilars, engage & advocate with internal and external stakeholders. This critical role will lead the articulation of our aspiration to sustainably unlock the potential of biosimilars, for the benefit of our patients, prescribers and healthcare systems to fulfill our promise to transform more lives._
- Key to success in this role will be the ability to overcome broad challenges that have wide impact across our Biosimilars organization (contributing to projects with multi-stakeholder interest), developing the strategy for execution by looking beyond existing methodologies and own functional area. As a global position, this role requires a highly dynamic and proactive individual that can work across multiple cultures (Europe, US, Asia) and across all levels within our matrix organization to ensure a cohesive communication strategy for the BBU and its industry-leading portfolio of products. The person will champion internal communications, partner effectively across multiple stakeholder groups (EU Leadership Team, VP and Head of Corporate Affairs International). This person will champion all-employee communications for the BBU and must be adept in leveraging all mediums of internal communications. A wide spectrum of experience is sought, including: product launches communications, change management, PAG engagement programs, issues management, townhall facilitation as well as conference, meeting planning, training materials development. _

**Principal accountabilities**
- 1. _Communications Narrative and Execution_

Responsible for refinement, deployment and consistent articulation of our unique value proposition and leadership narrative for Biosimilars - internally and externally. They will champion the articulation of our aspiration to sustainably unlock the potential of biosimilars, for the benefit of our patients, prescribers and healthcare systems to transform more lives. She/He will develop the supporting communication materials accordingly (e.g., Internal - intranet, executive communications, External - website, social media, conferences and events, Project - creative services management for project deliverables, trainings).
- 2. _Promote and positively represent the organization through internal and external communication._

Represent BBU value proposition within the context of Biogen’s mission. Oversee the workflow and work assignments to ensure effective collaboration among team members and consistent, quality work. Drafts proposals for special communications projects; presents on and promotes these projects to management. Seeks new methods and creative strategies to increase internal and external awareness of key events and changes in the organization including the launch of new products, special events, local and global community service, and other topics of interest.

Prepares and delivers presentations in the company to share information.

Represents the company in a variety of settings, always promoting the company in the best possible way. Performs other related duties as assigned.
- 3. _Effective stakeholder management_
Responsible to manage external PR agency, including briefings, output optimization of work packages in concert with respective brand/country leads (globally & affiliate level) and in collaboration with our JV partners.

**Qualifications**:

- 1. _Minimum education requirements_
- BS / BEng / BA required
- MBA preferred
- 2. _Minimum experience requirements_
- Prove track record of success over at least 12-15 years within the communications industry and/or Biotech industry. Experience in the media or the corporate sector is also essential for the position.
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the design and execution of communications and public relations activities
- First-rate written and verbal communication skills (English). Excellent ability to develop high impact executive presentations, clear story lining and superior PowerPoint skills essential.
- Driven and goal orientated with ability to persuade and influence senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues; strong team player; inclusiveness and flexibility.
- A track record of success in matrix environment with country organizations, across multiple cultures and functions.
- Experience leading external content and creative agencies.
- Experience with biosimilars, marketing or sales are all a plus
- ** Absolutely fluent in English**; German or other European languages of benefit.
