Job Overview:
**Purpose**:
This role is responsible for managing the outbound and sea freight logistics and relations for our international green coffee logistics operations. The role will be varied as outlined under responsibilities below, but this person will oversee supply chain logistics-related activities as it applies to global green coffee purchasing. The individual in this role will add value by developing our logistics strategy, drive process improvements and enhancements that promote efficiency, quality and customer service.

**Responsibilities**:
As part of a well-established, motivating team, you will be responsible for the handling the sea freight logistics of green coffee from Central/South America, Asia, and Africa to North America with the following tasks:

- Shipment planning, allocation and forecasting
- Manage relationships and communication with our freight forwarder, importer of record, and foreign business partners
- Maintain and monitor shipping documentation, regulatory requirements, and customs declarations as required for all shipment types and ensure it is properly entered into system
- Oversee file entry, settlement of completed shipments and invoice control
- Work to resolve operational conflicts, shipping delays, and errors and escalate to management as needed
- Responsible for On-Time / In-Full deliveries
- Relationship with Supplier Logistics Teams
- Follow and respect the specified process and standard operating procedure
- Own the logistics budget and deliver forecast
- Monitor certificate process for certified coffee (RA, FT etc.), manages reporting platforms
- Reporting

**Requirements**:
**Technical Requirements**
- Extensive professional experience in sea freight for coffee or other soft commodities
- Specific training in international logistics
- Familiarity with Incoterms
- Project Management
- Experience working with SAP
- Fluent in English. Spanish or Portuguese a plus
- Proficient in MS Office

**Other Requirements**
- Valid Swiss work permit or Swiss nationality
- Green Coffee Logistics experience, background
- Ability to manage a global team across a span of geographies
- Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks
- Ability to work well alone and within teams
- Excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Service and customer-focused approach, monitor customer expectations and adapt as needed
- Ability to prioritize and plan work in an organized manner while exhibiting efficient time management against key deadlines
- Proven track record of working in a busy and demanding business environment is essential
