**What will you do as a Design Manager (MCF / Data Centres)**:
As a Design Manager you must prove yourself to some of the most demanding customers in the world and work pro-actively with our colleagues across the globe. Beyond the standard features of a building, our MCF projects require specific and advanced knowledge and skills.

What our clients have in common, is the need for consultant and engineers who really think along and they increasingly demand more detailed designed in 3D up to working documentation level. And that is exactly where you are going to help them with. Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

- develop together with the Project Manager comprehensive scope-of-work, design budget and contract documents
- deliverables list for each related discipline
- developing and following design delivery schedule
- manage distribution and production of project workload within team
- coordinate all design matters relating to a project, helping to ensure that the multi-disciplinary team design is coordinated, constructable and cost-effective
- lead project/design meetings (incl. external) and provide continual input to optimize design and minimize futile work.
- design change management
- collaborate with client and the team to meet the expectations of the customer or client
- challenge design solutions
- creating innovative ideas and designs and putting them into a context that the rest of the team and the client/customer can understand

You will work within a multidisciplinary team where your work will be cross borders, native and home based. In addition to participating in projects, you naturally also contribute to the optimization of our internal business processes and to safeguarding and sharing knowledge within your field. In this way, we continue to develop ourselves continuously

**Where you will work**:
Royal HaskoningDHV is a global engineering and project management consultancy with over 6,000 professionals in 150 countries. Their Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) team provides consultancy services for datacenter clients and includes professionals from various fields such as engineering, construction, and architecture. The team works on integrated designs for data centers and has completed various projects. Working with this team means joining a leading market and a dedicated and passionate team. You will be employed by NEXT HaskoningDHV Switzerland AG, the collaboration between local Swiss firm Confirm AG and HaskoningDHV NL.

**What you bring**:
You are an entrepreneurial, result oriented, proactive individual with a positive flexible and problem-solving attitude. Besides that, you have:

- Master degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
- Over 5 years of experience in the management of multidisciplinary design and engineering and construction projects, preferably in the data centres or other relevant sectors;
- Affinity with digital and automated design and engineering process (BIM360, CDE);
- Good knowledge of standard practices in the design and construction industry;
- Good understanding of the daily (operational) business of our clients;
- Excellent communication skills towards colleagues and clients;
- Fluent in English and German language;
