At ECOFACT, we provide our clients with the knowledge required to navigate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities. We work primarily for banks, insurers, institutional investors, and international standard-setters. Founded in 1998 as a spin-off from a leading Swiss bank, ECOFACT is a fully independent firm based in Zurich.

About the role

We are looking for a Climate & Finance Intern (100%) to join our team for a 6-month paid internship as soon as possible.

Tasks

**In this role you will**:

- contribute to ECOFACT’s research and analyses on climate change regulation and voluntary standards and their implications for the financial sector, by analyzing

relevant papers and publications;
- be part of the team that translates regulatory information into practical actions for our clients;
- support a variety of advisory projects with leading financial institutions; and
- help the team enhance our offerings pertaining to climate change strategy, climate target-setting, risk management, and disclosure.

**Requirements**:
**You are**:

- happy to work both independently and as part of a team;
- comfortable managing multiple priorities;
- highly motivated and reliable; and
- comfortable in an agile environment where priorities may change.

**You must have**:

- mother-tongue German (spoken and written) and strong English (C1 - spoken and written);
- a full degree in one of the following fields: banking, sustainable finance, environmental economics, climate science or similar;
- strong document drafting skills;
- high attention to detail; and
- a valid Swiss work permit or EU citizenship.

**You earn extra points if you are/have**:

- relevant work experience in the financial industry;
- knowledge of climate risk management and climate target-setting, in particular related to the Recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) or Science Based Targets guidance;
- consulting or project management experience; and/or
- a desire to take the initiative and claim ownership.
