As a successful applicant, you will join our Science and Research Analytical Sciences Group in Geneva. You are a highly motivated chemist eager to contribute and deliver on our ambition to automate analytical chemistry laboratories. You ideally have a strong background in chemistry and experience in laboratory automation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- In close collaboration with your line manager and with cross-functional teams, identify needs and opportunities to automate processes related to analytical chemistry. Design, develop and execute proposed solutions.
- Troubleshoot and optimize automated hardware and processes including maintenance and calibration to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Participate in the analytical service by operating and maintaining notably GCMS and LCMS, and deliver information based on standard analytical methodologies.
- Continuously update and expand your knowledge and expertise in emerging technologies and trends in laboratory automation.
- Regularly update your management and stakeholders about the new development in automation in general and on the progress of your projects in particular.

**You Bring**:

- MSc in Chemistry with technical specialization, or a BSc in Chemistry with a MSc in a technical field such as, but not limited to, process engineering or microtechnical engineering.
- Track record of successful implementation of automation in a chemical laboratory.
- Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry and practices in chemical laboratories.
- Expertise in software and hardware development; knowledge in PLC programming and Python would be an asset.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and experimental design is a plus.
- Creativity, open-mindedness, team spirit and problem solver attitude.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with good knowledge of English (oral and written).
