What You’ll Be Doing
As a Machine Learning Intern, you’ll focus on developing and optimizing STT and TTS models tailored to various language dialects, taking ownership of impactful projects from day one. Your responsibilities will include:

- Developing STT/TTS Models: Design, train, and fine-tune speech-to-text and text-to-speech models, with a focus on supporting diverse language dialects to enhance our platform’s accessibility and performance.
- Data Labeling and Preprocessing: Lead efforts in curating, labeling, and preprocessing high-quality audio datasets to ensure robust model training and performance.
- Building Model Development Infrastructure: Set up and optimize infrastructure for model training, experimentation, and deployment, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Collaborating on Innovative Projects: Work with our engineering team to experiment with novel approaches, integrate STT/TTS capabilities into our platform, and propose enhancements.
- Driving Independent Initiatives: Take ownership of experiments, optimize algorithms, and develop solutions that directly impact our AI platform’s capabilities.

Who You Are
We’re looking for a proactive, hands-on coder with a passion for STT/TTS model development and a knack for building scalable AI solutions. Specifically, you are:

- A Machine Learning Specialist: A current master’s or PhD student in machine learning, computer science, data science, or a related field, with a focus on speech processing or natural language processing.
- Experienced in Model Training: You have hands-on experience training STT/TTS models, ideally for diverse language dialects, and are comfortable with data labeling and preprocessing.
- Skilled in Python and ML Frameworks: Proficient in Python and familiar with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face, with the ability to jump into coding projects immediately.
- Knowledgeable in Infrastructure Setup: Experienced in setting up model development pipelines, including data pipelines, training environments, and deployment workflows.
- An Independent Thinker: Resourceful, proactive, and capable of leading projects independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Curious and Solution-Oriented: Eager to experiment with new techniques, solve complex problems, and stay updated on advancements in speech processing.
