The Molecular Pharmacy group is primarily interested in the development and evaluation of innovative therapeutic concepts for the treatment of clinical conditions mediated by inadequate or dysregulated immune responses. For this purpose, the group develops and characterizes peptide-, protein
- and carbohydrate-based molecules and evaluates them in suitable bioassays and disease models. The laboratory has strong expertise in pharmaceutical chemistry and immunobiology and is equipped with state-of-the-art instruments and infrastructure for drug design and evaluation.
**Your position**
- Biophysical and biological profiling of glycomimetics and/or glycopolymers to determine target binding affinities, inhibitory activities, stability properties etc.
- In vitro evaluation of efficacy and other PD properties in functional viral infection assays.
- Assessment of PK profiles, toxicity and immunogenicity in cell-based assays.
- Sample preparation, experimental design and data evaluation for in vivo PK/PD studies conducted by collaborators.
