In this role you will be responsible to oversee and drive the assessment of financial reporting risks and the design, implementation and maintenance of a high-quality system of internal control over financial reporting. You will assist in the implementation of methodology changes and ensure that internal control methodology is implemented consistently. You will manage the ARIC Clock through the Hub / Local & Country IC managers for EL Lead Countries and design and maintain a standardized communication framework.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Focus on Process Walkthroughs with DEC, management testing, remediation management and YE DEC, supporting Corp ARIC with methodology development (bottom up); set up action plans for internal control framework improvements and support their implementation adapting methodology through EL Lead Country (and EL Business where applicable) and monitoring on global level both quality and timeliness; support local organization to achieve the objectives; support development of adequate KPIs; act as interface between local IC, BA ICM, and Corporate ARIC
- Reporting templates for stakeholders on all relevant levels, identify opportunities to automate retrieval of meaningful standard reports
- Drive process reviews (also across units/countries) and design enhancements to merge, standardize, rationalize and simplify processes and controls, also in collaboration with GFPOs.
- Identify areas for improvement (and support the implementation) through automation or control performance elevation (e.g. RPA, OCR); elevation of controls to COE/GBS; implement in close collaboration with business and EL IC organization
- Improve deficiency management - standardize root cause analysis, develop mitigation strategies to be rolled out throughout EL Lead / EL business, support EL Business in non-EL Lead countries for IC matters beyond ordinary scope (e.g. M&A transactions, EL-led self-assessments)
- Develop and deliver trainings (EL specific or with Corporate ARIC), e.g. for ICoFR assessments to ensure successful execution of roles and responsibilities collaborating with Internal Audit - regularly update “learning from IAU” packages, train local business in pro-active manner
- Support Local IC Managers and business in audit remediation as
- preparation for successful follow-up reviews
- Support all stakeholders in maintaining high quality EL Finance Masterdata, If applicable: Lead the Global Finance Trainee during EL IC assignment. Back up Country / Local IC Managers in case of absence

**Your background**:

- Bachelor or master’s degree in economics or similar, Professional qualification equivalent to CPA/CIA/CISA and five to eight years’ practice in finance, audit or internal control area, preferably Big4 experience
- Solid understanding of internal controls methodology, practices and US GAAP, proven ability to manage, lead and motivate people to deliver high quality results
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to independently draw conclusions, service-oriented mindset; solid commitment to quality and continuous improvement - can do

- Good business knowledge and working experience in the area of process improvements
- Well-developed project management and coordination skills; proven ability to manage crossfunctional stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, relationship management, influencing and negotiation skills
- Sound working knowledge of SAP, gobal mindset, ideally derived from experience of a multi-country, cross-culture environment. Proven ability to effectively work under pressure and within tight deadlines
