Uplink Community Success Lead, Food Systems

Reporting Lines & Interactions
- This role is for Community Success Lead, UpLink Food Systems and reports to UpLink’s Head of Topic & Activity Curation, with a dotted line to The Food Systems Initiative’s Head of Strategy and Global Projects.

Working closely with Food System’s Initiative, the Head of Topic & Activity Curation for UpLink and the broader UpLink team, the Community Success Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategy behind a new UpLink Food Systems collaboration.

Main Responsibilities:

- CURATION OF FOOD SYSTEMS CHALLENGES- Lead, from start to finish, the curation process for food systems challenges
- managing all the steps of the exploration, design, recruitment, review and cohort phases of the challenge-
- Co-design with UpLink and the Food System’s Initiative, throughout the process-
- Successfully engage and manage all key partners in the process
- both internal to the Forum and external-
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the UpLink curation processes and support the development of the curation teamCOMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND IMPACT
- Lead the engagement of UpLink Food Systems innovators, including:
- Identifying their needs for scale and impact increase-
- Designing the appropriate programme and opportunities for these innovators based on their needs
- visibility, connections, capacity building, further investment etc-
- Ensuring they are considered for appropriate engagements in relevant Forum communities, events and opportunities-
- Continuously track impact of innovators and ensure it is being reported through the UpLink platform and the Content and Promotion Teams-
- Identifying possible cross-SDG conversations, and liaising with other UpLink Curators in other areas-
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, digital engagement, and other relevant Forum teams to leverage respective networks, expertise and communication opportunities as needed- PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT- Actively contribute to the continuous development of the UpLink platform-
- Proactively suggest improvements based on personal and user feedback-
- Ability to liaise between the Food Systems Initiative, UpLink Leadership and Curation Teams as well as the funder of the collaboration.-
- Successful sourcing and review of quality innovators-
- Demonstrated impact on innovators, of their UpLink engagement-
- The development of effective engagement opportunities for UpLink innovators-
- Smart prioritisation of investment of time into key development innovators-
- Regular updates, success stories and impact metric adjustments from the innovators-
- Productive and positive engagement within the curation and broader UpLink team- Preferred Requirements and Experience- Genuine passion for scaling impact in the SDG space-
- University degree in relevant field, such as: sustainability, development, food, health, policy, journalism, digital engagement-
- 5-7 years of relevant professional experience-
- Knowledge of the food systems agenda, and relevant work experience-
- Preferably, experience working in the MENA region-
- A flexible, agile and adaptable mindset to work in a fast-paced and evolving team-
- Experience with digital collaboration tools-
