**We are looking for a Commis de Rang to join Colonnade team in Mandarin Oriental Palace Luzern**

The legendary Hotel Palace Luzern first opened in 1906 and is in the city on the shores of Lake Lucerne. After a complete renovation, the Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern reopened its doors in September 2022. It comprises 136 rooms and suites offering excellent views over the lake and mountains. Three restaurants, one bar together with a variety of meeting facilities, a Spa and a fitness room roundup our offer for our Guests.

Being awarded with one Michelin star only five months after opening, Colonnade showcases modern French cuisine. In 2024, Colonnade has been also awarded with 17 Gault Millau points.

As a Commis de Rang you will be **responsible** for the following tasks:

- Professional advice and customer care for our guests
- Professional serving of food and drinks
- Complying with our high quality standards
- Preparing the required mise en place, Covering and cleaning work in the restaurant area
- Supporting your superiors in their daily tasks
- Registering all transactions in the cash register system and carrying out correct cash accounting
- Assisting in the preparation and implementation of special events
- Complying with hygiene regulations and cleanliness within the framework of the HACCP guidelines

As Commis de Rang, we are **looking** for:

- A completed vocational training in the hotel or catering industry
- First computer skills, knowledge of the Infrasys cash register system and the SevenRooms booking system would be advantageous
- Communicative skills - guests will contact you with complaints as well as positive feedback
- Open-mindedness and teamwork skills
- Excellent manners and well-groomed appearance, as well as a positive charisma
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure - your position will include weekend and holiday shifts
- Very good knowledge of German and English. Further foreign language skills are an advantage
