**About the job**

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern, the Commis de Rang plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by serving with warmth and creating lasting memories.

**As Commis de Rang you will be responsible for the following tasks**:

- Professional advice and customer care for our guests.
- Professional serving of food and drinks.
- Complying with our high quality standards.
- Preparing the required mise en place, covering and cleaning work in the restaurant area.
- Supporting your superiors in their daily tasks.
- Registering all transactions in the cash register system and carrying out correct cash accounting.
- Assisting in the preparation and implementation of special events.
- Complying with hygiene regulations and cleanliness within the framework of the HACCP guidelines.

**As Commis de Rang, we expect from you**:

- A completed vocational training in the hotel or catering industry.
- First computer skills, knowledge of the Infrasys cash register system and the SevenRooms booking system would be advantageous.
- Communicative skills - guests will contact you with complaints as well as positive feedback.
- Open-mindedness and teamwork skills.
- Excellent manners and well-groomed appearance, as well as a positive charisma.
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure - your position will include weekend and holiday shifts.
- Very good knowledge of German and English. Further foreign language skills are an advantage.
