Proclinical are recruiting a Research Associate for a biotech organisation. This role is on a contract basis and is located in Basel. The client focuses on distributing life changing remedies for patients suffering from serious illnesses globally.

**Responsibilities**:

- Accountable for fabricating, formulating, and implementing trials in a timely manner, under the guidance of the allotted lab head.
- Preservation of cell culture.
- Illustrate compound effects in various cellular assays (e.g. cell viability assays) and western blotting.
- Separate and nurture primary human immune cells.
- Responsible for cultivating and managing cellular in vitro immune cell assays using for example flow cytometry.
- Perform numerous experimental tactics in parallel.
- Distribute knowledge by passionate partnership with other scientists and associates within the group.
- Examine and construe data of experiments.
- Retain precise electronic records.
**Skills & Requirements**:

- Educated at a BSc/MSc degree level in a life science topic (e.g. cell biology, immunology) or completion of an apprenticeship for a research associate.
- At least one year of practical experience in a research lab.
- A secure background in cell culture is essential to the role.
- Familiarity with rudimentary procedures in molecular and cell biology is needed for this role.
- Awareness of standard lab equipment and IT tools is required for the role.
- Capable of conducting and documenting original research in an independent fashion.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English are required for this role.
- Prior experience with isolation and cultivation of primary immune cells is advantageous but is not essential to the role.
- Applied experience in immunological assays and techniques involving flow cytometry would be a beneficial but Is not vital to the role.
Former experience with cellular assay.
